Pátina Journal

Since 1985, ESCRBC has been publishing the journal PÁTINA.

A non-profit publication produced thanks to the selfless effort of our school's teaching staff, Pátina was the first periodical on conservation-restoration published in Spain. Its origin stems from the need to fill a gap in the existing literature in Spanish, as well as to contribute (through exchanges with other cultural institutions) to the enrichment of the ESCRBC library's holdings. Over time, the quality of its articles and careful printing made it an essential point of reference in the Spanish language professional and teaching world.

PÁTINA covers topics related to the study of cultural heritage in a broad sense, although, naturally, it is especially concerned with issues related to its conservation and restoration.

Since issue 17-18 (2015), the journal has been published exclusively in digital format. All the articles published in PÁTINA are free to view and download. This can be done via the website http://patina.edu.es/index.php/patina/index, which has also a tool that allows users to search by author, subject, and date.
